Dave Bates has always organised his own holidays together with his wife Sarah but decided to try the services of Get Set Go on the recommendation of a work colleague.

The pandemic meant over two years without a break, so Dave and Sarah were determined to book that special holiday treat.

The Maldives were a dream destination and the couple were interested in adding a second destination to their 2022 holiday.

John listened to Dave and Sarah’s holiday wish-list and found an ideal holiday of contrasts, comprising of seven-nights at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi and two-days in Dubai.

Dave, a Senior Building Surveyor, said: “The Maldives was amazing. It’s a cliche but it really was a paradise island. We flew to Male, via Dubai, and then took a sea plane to our destination.

“Everything was perfectly catered for, we were met by a butler who was on hand whenever we needed him.

“The villa was luxurious and we had a choice of high class restaurants in which to eat.

“Everything was arranged via an app. It was so easy.”

Dave enjoyed scuba diving and snorkelling. He said: “The conditions were amazing and you get to see all varieties of sea life – like a scene from Finding Nemo!”

Bustling, vibrant Dubai was a huge contrast and a change of pace, but just what Dave and Sarah ordered.

“We took a trip up to the top of the Burj Khalifa and went on safari in the desert, riding camels and taking on the sand dunes in a 4×4,” said Dave.

“If you are into shopping, the main mall is huge and you’ll need two day just to get around the stores.”

Commenting on John’s service, Dave said: “We will definitely want to use John again. He makes it easy. He does the research and presents you with well thought out options.

The service was superb, it’s way above just going to a travel shop.”
